Passport validity and permitted stay

  • Your passport or travel document must normally remain valid for at least 60 days beyond the permitted duration of stay.
  • For a 90-day stay, this generally means at least 150 days of passport validity at entry; the Ministry recommends a passport valid for at least six months from arrival.
  • A visa or visa exemption normally cannot provide more than 90 days of stay in any 180-day period.
  • A visa does not create an absolute right of entry. Final admission is decided by Turkish border authorities.
  • Valid medical insurance covering the stay may be required as part of the visa application.
